DEPARTMENT VISION
To develop competent Diploma Electronics and Communication professionals with strong technical skills, ethical values, and practical knowledge to effectively support industry and contribute to technological and industrial development.
DEPARTMENT MISSION
M1: To provide strong fundamentals and practical training in Electronics and Communication Engineering through effective teaching–learning processes and well-equipped laboratories.
M2: To enhance industry readiness by promoting hands-on skills, internships, and exposure to modern tools and technologies.
M3: To cultivate professional ethics, teamwork, communication skills, and social responsibility among students.
M4: To encourage continuous learning and technical upgradation to adapt to evolving industrial and technological needs.
PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs)
Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering programme is steadfast to transform students into competent professionals with qualities of good human values and responsible citizens. On completion of the Diploma programme, the students should have acquired the following characteristics.
PEO1: To enable diploma holders to secure employment as competent technicians or junior engineers in Electronics and Communication related industries and contribute effectively to production, maintenance, and technical services.
PEO2: To strengthen technical competency through continuous learning and skill upgradation to adapt to emerging technologies in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
PEO3: To develop professional ethics, teamwork, communication skills, and responsible work practices required in industrial and societal environments.
PEO4: To apply technical and basic managerial skills efficiently while considering safety, and environmental aspects in professional activities.
PROGRAMME OUTCOMES (POs)
- Basic and discipline specific knowledge: Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialization to solve the engineering problems.
- Problem analysis: Identify and analyse well-defined engineering problems using codified standard methods.
- Design/Development of solutions: Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specified needs.
- Engineering tools, Experimentation and Testing: Apply modern engineering tools and appropriate technique to conduct standard tests and measurements.
- Engineering practices for society, sustainability and environment: Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.
- Project Management: Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.
- Life-long learning: Ability to analyse individual needs and engaging updating in the context of technological changes.
PROGRAMME SPECIFIC OUTCOMES (PSOs)
- An ability to understand the concepts of basic Electronics & Communication Engineering and to apply them to various areas like Signal Processing, VLSI, Embedded Systems, Communication Systems, Digital & Analog Devices, etc.
- An ability to solve complex Electronics and Communication Engineering problems, using latest hardware and software tools, along with analytical skills to arrive cost effective and appropriate solutions.
- Wisdom of social and environmental awareness along with ethical responsibility to have a successful career in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering and to sustain passion and zeal for real-world applications in the field of Electronics using optimal resources as an entrepreneur.

- Arranged an industrial Visit to All India Radio Station, Kadapa for the II year DECE students during the academic year 2025-26.
- Arranged an industrial Visit to All India Radio Station, Kadapa for the II year DECE students during the academic year 2024-25.
- DECE students participated in Regional POLYTECH FEST 2024 conducted at ESC GPT Nandyal & State POLYTECH FEST 2024 at Vijayawada.
- Arranged an industrial Visit to Bharath Sanchar Nigam Limited for the students on 07-06-2023.
- Arranged a workshop on “Optical Fiber – Splicing Machine” for the students.
- Arranged an industrial Visit to Kurnool Airport for the students on 02-08-2023.
- Conducted Guest Lecture on Career Guidance on 03-08-2023 by M. Akhil Gowtham.
- Conducted Webinar on “Industrial Automation using Embedded Systems and IOT” on 16-08-2023 by Sayeed Abdul Rehman.
- Participated in Regional POLYTECH FEST 2022 conducted at Kurnool and State POLYTECH FEST 2022 at Vijayawada.
